The studio's own project schedule lists 43 residential commissions: 42 private villas and one residential building, 36 of them in the United Arab Emirates (33 across 18 Dubai communities and three in Abu Dhabi) and seven in the United States, with 600,003 sq ft of built-up area in all. The villas run from 5,500 sq ft to 27,800 sq ft, and 18 of the 42 have six bedrooms or more. The work clusters in Nad Al Sheba (five houses), Dubai Silicon Oasis (four houses), Umm Suqeim (three houses) and Jumeirah (three houses). The published projects each state their community and built-up area where the schedule holds them.
Every Surface Is Specified by the Team That Drew the Room
Architecture, interiors, engineering and landscape are held by one team under one point of control, so a stone, a timber and a textile are chosen against the drawing they belong to rather than after it. The practice is registered with Dubai Municipality as an engineering consultancy, which is what lets a material decision that moves a wall or a service stay inside the same office.
